Sure, many retirement and brokerage accounts are exposed to REITs, but this form of securitized ownership is removed from the primal, tangible nature of a physical asset.

In the past, sub-institutional real estate portfolios have been managed through instincts and handshakes. The handshakes aren’t going anywhere, but we are working to replace instincts with data.
